Geary Veterinary Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. The role supports veterinarians and RVTs in exams, treatments, and surgeries within a full-service general practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and assist veterinarians and RVTs with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgeries and procedures, including surgical prep, equipment setup, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Safely restrain patients and perform clinical tasks, including IV catheter placement and administering injections.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
• Assist with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical environment.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital.

Our collaborative team offers a wide range of veterinary services, from routine wellness visits to surgery and advanced medical care, in a fast-paced environment where there is always an opportunity to learn and grow. We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and assist veterinarians and RVTs with examinations, treatments, and procedures
