Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare's Stonyridge Veterinary Service in Troy, OH is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician. This full-time role requires Monday-Friday availability with 4–10 hour shifts, no weekends, and supports veterinarians to ensure quality care.

You will assist in surgeries, maintain medical records, educate clients about care and Thrive Memberships, and mentor team members. RVT licensure is required; 1-2 years of clinical experience is preferred, with strong communication essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary technician (RVT) licensure is required.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state regulations for credentialed technicians.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records using practice systems.
• Obtain health history and information from clients and manage medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep exam rooms and labs clean and organized.
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to complete our team!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function,assistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
• Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance onThrive Membershipoptions, medications, andadditionaltreatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Registered Veterinary technician (RVT) licensure required
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred
