Job summary

Heidt Veterinary Hospital in Lima, Ohio is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on clinic experience, perform room work and histories, educate clients, place IV catheters, draw blood, and operate in-house lab equipment.

Collaborative teamwork with vets and other technicians is essential. The successful candidate will be licensed in Ohio (CVT/RVT/LVT encouraged or eligible) and bring strong animal handling and communication

Qualifications

• Ohio veterinary technician license is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting is a must.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred or eligible to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Heidt Veterinary Hospital located in Lima, Ohio is actively seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic, feel comfortable working up rooms and taking histories, embrace client education, have the skill set of placing IV catheters, ability to draw blood and run in-house lab equipment, enjoy working with other technicians and the veterinarians for the top level care of our patients. Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician License current in Ohio
• Experience in a clinical setting is a must
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
