Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Del Mar, CA. The role includes performing exams, imaging, dentistry, anesthesia support, and client communication to ensure top-notch animal care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician in California; license active and in good standing.
• 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Obtain accurate medical histories.
• Perform basic exam procedures.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Digital radiology positioning and dental procedures (preferred).
• Comfortable with anesthesia and surgical assisting.
• Laboratory skills with microscope and in-house equipment.
• Ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images (preferred).
• Client communication/education and accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary technician support in a clinical setting.
• Assist with exams, imaging, dentistry, and anesthesia procedures.
• Obtain histories, document records, and maintain organized files.
• Operate in-house lab equipment and imaging tools.
• Educate clients and ensure compassionate animal care.

• Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Location: 2626 Del Mar Heights Rd B, Del Mar, CA 92014, USA

We have been proudly serving Del Mar since 1990. We are currently looking to hire a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

• Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: Full-time (No Weekends required), 1 hour lunch breaks
• Location: 2626 Del Mar Heights Rd B, Del Mar, CA 92014, USA

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license must be active and in good standing.
• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
• Perform basic exam procedures
• Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
• Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
• Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting, and extractions (preferred)
• Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
• Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); in-house laboratory equipment
• Ability to utilize ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images and urine samples (preferred)
• Excellent client communication/education
• Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
