Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring full-time RVTs for the following hospital locations:
Bethesda Hospital: 6800 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20815
Bowie Hospital: 4500 Mitchellville Rd, Bowie, MD 20716
Annapolis Hospital: 2601 Housley Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401
The anticipated starting hourly rate for individuals expressing interest in this position is $25 to $36 per hour. Rate to be determined by the schedule, location, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant.

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for RVTs to add their passion, skills, and education to our team. We believe in hiring individuals with diverse perspectives, ideas, and cultures who use their expertise in a way that benefits pets, clients, teams, and communities.
Requirements:
Veterinary Technician Licensure, Certification, or Registration (LVT, CVT, or RVT)
Or Vet Tech Students who are currently in the process of graduating and completing accreditation
Role responsibilities:
Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Optimum Wellness Plan options, medications, and additional treatments.
Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Banfield’s database, PetWare.
Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
