Job summary

Stone Ridge Animal Care in Evansville, IN seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to join a three-doctor small animal practice. You’ll provide compassionate nursing care, assist with exams, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, and contribute across wellness, urgent care, dentistry, and imaging using advanced equipment.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Veterinary Technician credential.
• Experience in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Ability to perform diagnostic imaging and run in-house IDEXX lab tests.
• Strong communication skills and accurate medical-record documentation.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients, obtain histories, vital signs, and initial assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide nursing care from intake through discharge.
• Safely restrain patients using Fear Free techniques and assist with meds and vaccines.
• Perform venipuncture, collect samples, and prepare patients for surgery.
