Job summary

Evans East Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join a supportive, skilled team focused on delivering high-quality veterinary care. The clinic emphasizes collaboration, ongoing learning, and a family-like atmosphere.

You will gather patient histories and vitals, perform venipuncture, monitor anesthesia, assist with surgeries, run diagnostic tests, and educate clients both in person and over the phone. Growth and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license or enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• A team player with empathy, warmth, and a great sense of humor.
• A proactive mindset—no task is too small!
• Ability to lift/restrain pets up to 40 lbs. and remain on your feet throughout the day.
• Flexibility to work based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient history and vitals
• Perform venipuncture and conduct lab tests (hematology, serology, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and skin/ear cytology)
• Place IV catheters and monitor hospitalized/surgical patients
• Administer and monitor anesthesia for surgery patients
• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures
• Conduct and assist with diagnostic testing and radiography
• Educate clients on pet care both in-person and over the phone
