Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.
• Prepare patient for ultrasound procedure—this includes proper clothing, educating patient and family—if pediatric patient ease fears.
• Assist Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis.
• Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure.
• Accurately record a complete technologist "note" to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.

Requirements

• Graduate from approved school of medical ultrasound technology.
• RDMS required.
• Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Salary Range: 48.00 - 48.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job‑related work experience, internal equity, and industry‑specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full‑time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
