Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging studies at the ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky. The role encompasses preparing patients and imaging equipment, and conducting abdominal, renal, and obstetrical examinations among others.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in Sonography, basic computer skills, and must be licensed or registry eligible in Ultrasound. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Sonography from an approved program or minimum Associate Degree in Radiology.
• Up to one year experience preferred, education can substitute for experience.
• Must be licensed or registry eligible in Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Performs various ultrasound examinations including abdominal and obstetrical scans.
• Checks images with the radiologist for interpretations.
• Available for on-call status as needed.
