Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines. You will prepare patients, equipment, and images for interpretation, and verify studies in RIS and PACS while maintaining QC on equipment.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, plan of care, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography or Radiology required.
• Up to 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred.
• Registered or Registry eligible in Ultrasound; must become Registered within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments and plans of care.
• Performs ultrasound imaging studies per orders and guidelines.
• Maintains quality control on imaging equipment and prepares images for interpretation.
• Verifies and completes studies in RIS and PACS.
• Assists with patient transport and positioning as needed.
• Demonstrates on-call readiness and professional communication.
