Are you interested in working as a school nurse with students in public, private, parochial, elementary, and high schools? We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to work in a school setting. In this position, you will address acute care needs in the school (including the three "B's" of school nursing - bumps, bruises, and bellyaches) and provide community-oriented health information to students, teachers, principals, and parents.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
2. Consult with teachers, school administrators, and staff regarding student care
3. Administer medication as prescribed by doctors
4. Collaborate with school personnel and parents
5. Provide emergency treatment to staff and students as needed
6. Monitor student immunization records
7. Educate students and staff on health procedures
8. Perform hearing, vision, and other health screenings

Skills and Qualifications:

• State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience in school nursing or substitute nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Knowledge of school laws and policies
• BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications
• Knowledge of state health regulations
