Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a PRN Operating Room RN to join a dedicated team focused on improving children’s lives. You will provide patient-centered nursing care within the pediatric OR, supporting safety and quality during surgical procedures.

The role requires a BSN (or progress toward) and an Illinois RN license, with 2+ years of OR experience. CNOR and scrub experience are preferred. On-call duties include at least 1x/week and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.

Hours:

Our OR team enjoys a quality work-life balance schedule with no scheduled OR cases on weekends and holidays. Will need to take call at least 1x/week and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

The pay range for this position is $47.08 - $70.62. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
