The role involves managing ventilators, monitoring patient status, and assisting with airway management and emergencies in a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team, thorough documentation, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from specialty training program with strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in acute airway management and ventilator operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory needs, develop and evaluate treatment plans, and perform therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and secretion management.
• Manage mechanical ventilators, monitor patient status with non-invasive tools, and assist with airway management and emergency procedures.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, assist in intra-hospital transport, and support discharge planning for respiratory-related needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, document assessments and treatments, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Support fiberoptic bronchoscopy procedures, invasive monitoring, and serve as shift coordinator after one year of employment.
• Mentor students and new staff, ensuring quality care and compliance with policies.
