Job Summary and Qualifications

Respiratory Therapy involves assessing and treating patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Today's Respiratory Therapists handle complex procedures and are vital team members, requiring broad knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology and skills to diagnose and treat patients of all ages.

About This Unit:

  • Teamwork is central to our operations.

What You Will Do in This Role:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision, including administering gases, aerosol therapy, blood analysis, patient testing, equipment operation, mechanical ventilation, airway maintenance, CPR, patient education, and monitoring responses.
  • Complete documentation, clean equipment, and uphold safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Kansas license to practice and NBRC RRT certification.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • One year of critical care experience preferred.
