**Registered Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Care, NICU**

**Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
**Work hours:** Full time; Nights; 7:00p – 7:00a (3 days per week)

**Here’s What You Need**
+ Other Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required
+ Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
+ 1 Year Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred
+ 2 Years NICU experience strongly preferred
+ RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required and
+ RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required and
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
+ ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days required and
+ NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 Days required
+ Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience
**What You Will Do**
+ Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
+ Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
+ Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
+ Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.
+ Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
+ Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
