The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
What you will do in this role:
Role Summary: Supports department by providing care to patients requiring all types of respiratory support including critical, emergency, general therapy, and infant transport. Supports organizational improvement by teaching and participating in the management of resources for patient care.
Mission Hospital McDowell is a community hospital with 25+ beds, including five labor and delivery suites, serving McDowell County. Located in Marion, North Carolina, we offer many specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and walk-in, non-emergency care at Mission My Care Now McDowell. Five of Mission Hospital McDowell’s primary care practices have been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as Rural Health Clinics. We have received many awards, which include Leapfrog Group Best Performer for pediatric head and pediatric body CT imaging, and an A grade for Patient Safety.
