Registered Respiratory Therapist | RRT | North | FT | Night

Position Overview

Join our team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Methodist North Hospital, where you will provide standard and advanced respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, aligning with our mission to deliver compassionate care and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine respiratory procedures such as IPPB, oxygen therapy, and humidity/aerosol treatments.
  2. Establish and maintain airway and ventilation support, including advanced techniques like invasive pressure monitoring, nitric oxide administration, and arterial blood gas collection.
  3. Assess and reassess patients, document findings, and collaborate with healthcare team members.
  4. Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory care procedures.
  5. Ensure safety, perform equipment maintenance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Technical or Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, NBRC RRT, and state-specific licenses
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and organize multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to perform patient care activities and respond quickly in emergencies
Additional Information

This role involves invasive and non-invasive patient contact, exposure to body fluids, and physical activities such as climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity and coordination are essential for this position.
