Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN position in Texas. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders and protocols.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Respiratory Care Program, holds Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and possesses NBRC registration, with BLS and ACLS current.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas (good standing).
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT/CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Job Description

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging Respiratory Therapist PRNposition, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Respiratory Therapist consistently performs evidence based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based protocols.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support— must obtain within 1 year of hire
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience preferred.
