A leading healthcare provider in Palm Springs is seeking a dedicated Advanced Clinical Respiratory Care Practitioner. This role involves delivering complex respiratory care and supporting departmental functions in a full-service pulmonary department. The ideal candidate will participate in staff training and uphold high standards of patient-focused care.
Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and Level I Trauma Center with an innovative, patient-centered, and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
The respiratory care practitioner (RCP) shall provide respiratory care to patients and assist with functions necessary to support departmental functions. The RCP performs respiratory therapy in all non-critical areas, as well as critical care areas under minimal supervision. He/she shall complete established competencies for the position within the designated periods and retain all applicable licensures and certifications necessary to provide respiratory care.
The Advanced Clinical Respiratory Care Practitioner provides complex patient care utilizing the most advanced concepts of Respiratory Therapy and patient-focused care. This practitioner is actively involved with department protocols and acts as a resource, as well as participating in the orientation and training of staff in adult and pediatric care areas. Demographic information and limited Patient Health Information related to job functions are handled in accordance with privacy standards.
Pulmonary Services is a full-service 24-hour department performing both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, overseen by a Medical Director who maintains the standard of care.
