Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Espanola, NM seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide routine and advanced care for infant, pediatric and adult patients. You will be involved in airway management, ventilator support and cardiopulmonary therapies within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy and active NM license.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.
• Experience with infant, pediatric and adult patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and advanced respiratory care for all ages.
• Perform intubation, extubation and tracheotomy care when needed.
• Operate high flow, BPAP/CPAP, ventilators and related devices.
• Acquire ECGs in multiple hospital areas and apply cardiopulmonary protocols.
• Utilize EPIC charting and department-specific duties.

Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)

• Performs advanced airway care including intubation and extubation.
• Perform advanced airway care for infants, pediatric and adult patients to include intubation, extubation and tracheotomy care.
• Proficiency in the use of High Flow (infant, pediatric and adult, BPAP/CPAP, Ventilators, Bubble CPAP
• Performs electrocardiograms on infants, pediatrics, and adults in areas throughout the hospital.
• These areas include the Emergency department, L&D, nursery, ICU, MedSurg and in PMG
• Implement Cardiopulmonary modalities and protocols for infant, pediatric and adult patients.
• Alternate functions in the Pulmonary department (but not required) - Pulmonary Function Testing, Holter monitor placement and cardiac stress testing.
• Performs departmental specific duties.

• Education: Associates required Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, Registered Respiratory Therapist New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, Registered Respiratory Therapist BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
