Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our free-standing Emergency Department in St. Augustine, FL. This full-time night-shift role requires a Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist and involves high-stress, fast-paced patient care.

A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered to qualified hires. Responsibilities include assessing and treating breathing disorders, administering therapies, ventilator management, and collaboration with the care team to implement

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist required-DOH.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
