Job summary

Baptist Health in St. Augustine, FL is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our fast-paced Emergency Department at Silverleaf.

This full-time, day-shift role requires Florida licensure and AS/Certificate in Respiratory Therapy, with BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, treat breathing disorders, operate ventilators, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
