Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist-Registered to join our night shift team. The role involves comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all ages across hospital areas, with emphasis on ventilator management and complex procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold a CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license, be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and possess BLS certification. You’ll contribute to patient care, training, and quality assurance in a fast-paced,

Competenze

Current CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
BLS certification.

Mansioni

Perform ventilator checks and ensure proper function for adequate support.
Administer IPPB and aerosol therapies as prescribed.
Instruct patients on postural drainage and percussion per physician.
Respond to Code Blue with physician guidance to provide life-saving support.
Suction patients using appropriate methods and document care.
Relay pertinent patient information to the next shift and communicate effectively with the team.
Administer oxygen therapy and verify equipment functioning.
Perform bedside spirometry pre- and post-bronchodilator tests to monitor progress.
Sterilize and disinfect equipment and maintain inventory.
Assist with training respiratory and nursing students and staff education.
Maintain and update work schedules and patient assignments.
