Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide full respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. The role requires AMA-accredited education, RCP licensure, NBRC registration, and ACLS/NRP preferred.

You will rotate through NICU, ICU, and general wards, aligning with physician orders and established protocols. Responsibilities include documentation in the EMR, patient-focused care, and potential pulmonary testing or rehab education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA-accredited program.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
• Must have RCP license and NBRC registration (RRT) for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and determine appropriate respiratory care per protocol.
• Deliver respiratory services from neonatal to adult per physician orders.
• Document activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
• Provide shift reports and serve as a resource for staff and students.
• May administer pulmonary testing and rehab education.
