Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist – Neonate to deliver high-quality respiratory care to newborns in a fast-paced acute care and NICU setting.

The RRT Neonate will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, initiate and manage ventilators and CPAP, administer medications and therapies, monitor blood gases, and assist with neonatal resuscitation with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Neonatal care experience preferred in NICU or PICU settings.
• Ability to respond quickly in a high-acuity neonatal environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments for neonates.
• Initiate and manage ventilators and CPAP in the NICU.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor blood gases and interpret results.
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation as part of the neonatal care team.
