Responsibilities

Under the direction of the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, the RCP II performs respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, considering patient age and needs. May be assigned as Lead RCP during shifts in the absence of a supervisor.

Qualifications

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification required and must be maintained.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required.
• Preferred: 2 years RCP experience.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• NRP certification preferred.
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree required; high school diploma or equivalent if not.
