Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care based on physician orders. The role involves consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as a senior resource for physicians and nursing staff.

This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and requires NBRC RRT certification, CoARC-approved program graduate, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred in critical care.
• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• RRT credential from NBRC; PALS for ER staff; ACLS preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in state.
• Able to meet physical demands listed (push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs).

Qualifications

• Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
• Required Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required. Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
