Mercy provides direct patient care in respiratory therapy, following physician orders with a focus on patient outcomes. The role serves as an advanced resource to physicians and nursing staff, ensuring effective therapy and collaboration across teams.

Eligible candidates hold an RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and CoARC-accredited training. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is paid in four installments and shifts are 36 hours per week, with Mercy offering strong benefits and professional growth

Formación

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• RRT credential from NBRC required; PALS for ER staff if applicable.

Job Profile Summary

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

SIGN-ON BONUS OF $10,000; PAID OUT IN FOUR INSTALLMENTS.

Shift: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Education

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Experience

• Prefer critical care experience.
