Mercy in Clayton, MO, is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care under physician orders, consult on therapy effectiveness, and serve as a resource for clinicians. The role requires NBRC RRT, valid RCP license, and graduation from a CoARC-approved program.

The position includes a 36-hour weekly shift, potential PALS requirement for ER, and a comprehensive benefits package with tuition support and retirement plans. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered in installments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• For ER, PALS is required.
• Physical demands include push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Job Profile Summary

SIGN-ON BONUS OF $10,000; PAID OUT IN FOUR INSTALLMENTS.

Shift: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Education

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Experience

• Prefer critical care experience.
