Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care and consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff across respiratory care duties.

The candidate must be a graduate of a CoARC‑approved program, hold an RCP license, and have the RRT credential. PALS is required in the ER; ACLS preferred, with physical demands noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling and crawling.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness.
