Role Overview

Provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation, within hospital and department guidelines. Applies advanced clinical expertise to support patient safety and quality care, serving as a resource to the healthcare team. Communicates effectively, documents, and collaborates with team members. Educates patients, families, students, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, utilizing diverse teaching methods. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per established standards, troubleshooting as needed. Supports advanced skills such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopy, sleep studies, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates degree or CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Licenses & Certifications: Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and educational skills
• Ability to perform multiple duties efficiently and prioritize effectively
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field
