Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist II at Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport, ME. This night shift role (7:00 - 7:00) operates in a self-scheduling model to deliver Respiratory care across varied clinical settings.

Minimum one year of Respiratory Therapy experience is required. Licensure, RRT, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable are required or obtained within specified timelines. Competitive benefits are offered by MaineHealth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current state license in Respiratory Care; RRT certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by facility, or within one year.

• Provide independent, high-quality respiratory care across clinical settings and patient populations.
• Assess patients and develop/adjust respiratory care plans; manage complex patient needs within standards and protocols.

Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist IIroleprovides independent,high qualityrespiratorycareacross a variety of clinicalsettings andpatient populations.Independentlyapplies clinicalknowledgein most practice settings and candemonstrateclinical reasoning and decision-making.Able to assesspatients,developandadjustrespiratory care plans, and managecomplexpatientneedswithinestablished standards and protocols.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities:

1. Education:Graduateof aCo-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapyrequired.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Carerequired. RRT certificationrequired. Must have RRT certification to advance toa LevelII. Current BLS Certificationrequiredwithin30 daysof startdate.Current ACLS,PALS and NRPcertificationsasrequiredby facility,or mustobtain within one year of start date

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
