  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification completed.

  • State licensure for Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Assess respiratory status by focused exams, breath sounds, and airway patency.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy with oxygen, meds, airway clearance, and other treatments.
  • Manage ventilation and airways, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitoring responses.
  • Educate patients and families, support care team, and assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
  • Maintain equipment, ensure readiness, and follow infection-prevention standards.

Your role will include:

  • Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.
  • Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
  • Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
  • Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
  • Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
  • (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
