Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist in Cleveland, Ohio. In this part-time position, you will work a flexible weekend schedule focusing on obtaining high-quality images using x-ray equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Minimum qualifications include being a graduate from an accredited school, holding current state licensure, and BLS certification. An opportunity for a sign-on bonus is available. The hourly pay range is $29.00 to $44.50, based on experience and qualifications.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $2,500*

We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care in additional areas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Registered Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient.
  • Radiology Technologists may specialize in imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computed tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.
  • In this role, you will work a flexible weekend schedule of 24 hours while getting paid for 32 hours.
  • A caregiver in this position works part-time | weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) | 6:30am-7:00pm
  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
  • Can communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients
  • Strong communication skills are essential to provide excellent care to patients and families
  • Can function well with minimal or no direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
Physical Requirements
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $29.00

Maximum hourly: $44.50
