Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their Neurological Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves performing MRI exams and ensuring patient safety while educating patients on procedures. The position requires certifications as a Radiologic Technologist and provides the opportunity to be part of a supportive team dedicated to quality patient care.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of anatomy and experience in patient care. This position offers weekend shifts with opportunities for additional certifications and is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARMT or ARRT in good standing.
• Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging required within one year.
• Basic Life Support certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Job description

This role is eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $2,500.

Join Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and become part of one of the world’s most respected healthcare organizations. We are expanding with a new, one‑million‑square‑foot, 15‑floor, state‑of‑the‑art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions, including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety. You will also have the opportunity to provide patient care in additional areas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical‑Surgical, and more. You will be joining a close‑knit, hardworking, and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care and has access to the latest imaging technology.

Working Hours

Work weekends, third shift from 7:00 pm–7:30 am (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination.
• Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
• Maintain available equipment uptime at the highest level for patient accessibility.
• Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
• Attend in‑service programs and professional affiliation sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R), R.T.(S), or R.T.(T), in good standing, or a registered technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) in good standing, or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) (required within one year of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities.

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
• Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.25.

Maximum hourly: $53.00.
