Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed departmental, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. Prepares patients for procedures, educates, and responds to questions or concerns, ensuring age-appropriate communication, safety, and patient education. Understands patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, equipment, infection control, and quality control. Oversees and trains students providing patient care and services as part of their training.
