Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY seeks a Registered Radiology Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic images using imaging equipment, following safety and infection-control standards. You will prepare patients, educate, and assist with student training, ensuring age-appropriate communication and care.

Qualifications include RO and ARRT-R; or ROT with ARRT-R before expiration. One year of general radiography experience is desired.

Qualifications

• RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R required.
• Or ROT with ARRT-R required prior to ROT expiration.
• One year of experience in general radiography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images meeting department standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate them, answering questions as needed.
• Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, infection control and proper positioning.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care during their learning activities.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
