Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to perform and optimize diagnostic imaging using X-ray and related equipment. You will prepare patients, position them correctly, communicate clearly, and ensure radiation safety and infection control while delivering high-quality images.

The ideal candidate holds an RO license and ARRT-R certification (or ROT with ARRT-R pending) and has at least one year of radiography experience.

Qualifications

• RO license and ARRT-R certification required.
• ROT temporary license allowed with ARRT-R pending.
• One year radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces and retains high quality diagnostic images meeting department, organizational, and industry standards.
• Prepares patients for procedures and educates/questions handling.
• Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and growth/development considerations.
• Oversees and trains students providing patient care as part of training.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
