Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to perform high quality diagnostic imaging and patient preparation in a clinical setting in Indiana. The role requires licensure and ARRT-R certification, with an ROT alternative under ARRT-R requirements.

The candidate should have at least one year of general radiography experience and will contribute to patient safety, infection control and education while training students as part of ongoing clinical education.

Qualifications

• RO license and ARRT-R certification required.
• Or ROT license with ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration.
• Desirable: at least one year of general radiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic images using imaging and related equipment.
• Prepare patients for procedures and address questions.
• Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, and infection control.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care during training.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
