Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Polysomnography Tech to join our Sleep Center team. The role supports evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through polysomnography, with oversight from Sleep Center leadership.

It involves diagnostics, therapeutic services, and patient education. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating polysomnographic equipment, scoring sleep stages per AASM guidelines, documenting reports, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders medicine.
• Licensing/certification requirements include RPSGT/RST or SDS credential depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain procedures; review clinical data and select testing modalities.
• Operate polysomnographic equipment to obtain diagnostic recordings per protocols.
• Document detailed technical reports and review studies with physicians.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with office tasks and billing.
• Maintain continuing education in the neurodiagnostic field.
