Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital in Montana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer polysomnographies and related sleep studies in the Sleep Lab under supervision. AAS in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC CRT, and Montana license are required; RRT within 3 months and RPSGT preferred with timelines.

The role includes staying calm under high workload, with benefits including health plans and a discretionary sign-on. This is a full-time on-site position at NMH.

Qualifications

• CoARC-accredited AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC CRT credential; must obtain RRT within 3 months of hire.
• RPSGT credential preferable; must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Montana state Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Experience in a sleep lab preferred.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer polysomnographies and related sleep study procedures.

• Collaborate with Sleep Lab staff and physicians to ensure quality care.

About the role

$30,000 Discretionary Sign-On Bonus

Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Sleep Lab Medical Director/Sleep Medicine Physician, and Sleep Lab Coordinator, and in accordance with an order from a physician, administer polysomnographies and related procedures to monitor, study, and analyze patients' sleep patterns.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapy Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
• New grad Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential verifiable with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within 3 months of hire.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential verifiable with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) and/or the NBRC is preferable; must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Active Montana state Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Experience in a sleep lab preferable.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and solution oriented during periods of high stress and/or workload fluctuations.

• Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
