Demonstrate competence in all aspects of sleep pathology recognition, analysis, and treatment. Operate equipment used in sleep disorders technology. Monitor 1 to 2 patients simultaneously.
High School diploma or GED required. Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) with a certificate from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist with the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
