Berkshire Medical Center Sleep Disorder is hiring a Polysomnographic Technician to perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis under supervision. The role supports technologists and a trainee team, ensuring accurate scoring, equipment prep, and room maintenance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with a polysomnography program and sleep technology education preferred; CPR certification is required.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

This role performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RST, RPSGT, CPSGT) and/or the clinical director (MD, PhD, DO) or designee. A Polysomnographic Technician can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee. PSG-Tech may assist technologists in scoring, cleaning of equipment, rooms, making phone calls, etc.. depending of SDC needs & level of his or her training.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:

Six months of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies is preferred.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility preferred.
One year of post-secondary education or current enrollment in an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology or college education preferred.

Demonstrate effective written and spoken communication skills.

Demonstrate ability to learn and follow direction.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
