Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Sleep Technologist to explain procedures to patients, collect paperwork, and monitor studies. The role includes applying electrodes, polysomnography setup, oximeter calibration, and ancillary equipment setup.

Additional duties include CPAP/BiPAP initiation and titration monitoring, and reviewing polysomnograms with emphasis on documentation and competency. Strong attention to patient care and state credentialing required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; required registration or credential with polysomnography board or sleep disorder specialist board.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to the patient, collect paperwork, monitor and record study.
• Apply the international 10-20 System of Electrodes, polysomnograph setup, oximeter calibration, and setup of ancillary equipment.
• Perform CPAP or BiPAP device implementation and titration monitoring.
• Record review of polysomnograms is an integral part of the job.
• Review clinical competencies for procedures, equipment and documentation.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, registered by the national board of polysomnography technologist or hold credential of sleep disorder specialist by the national board of respiratory care.

Job description

Compensation: $24.74 - $40.42/hr. based on previous work experience.

Job Summary

• Performs Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure device implementation and titration monitoring

• Reviews clinical competencies for procedures, equipment and documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, registered by the national board of polysomnography technologist or hold credential of sleep disorder specialist by the national board of respiratory care.

Licensure/Certification

• Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), continuing education in sleep diagnostic required per state regulations, accrediting organization or as determined by clinical education coordinator, registered polysomnography technologist by the board of polysomnography technologist (RPSGT)
