We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist the pharmacist with medication preparation, including repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivery, tailored to patients from infants to adults. You will also handle procurement, record keeping, storage, and distribution of controlled substances.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process prescriptions and medication orders accurately.
  2. Ensure proper distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical shipments.
  3. Deliver doses within departmental time standards.
  4. Complete and document daily and monthly activity checklists, including expired drug checks, cleaning, and supply ordering.
  5. Monitor communication channels such as email and mailboxes each shift.
  6. Maintain organized filing of medication orders and stop orders.
  7. Collaborate with Materials and Logistics to maintain adequate stock levels.
  8. Assist with implementing new formulations and updating related documentation and systems.
  9. Conduct weekly inspections of pharmacy areas for drug accountability and study drug readiness.

All candidates must undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety, in accordance with occupational health standards.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT-TX) licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy, or
  • Pharmacy Intern (PHAR INT), or
  • CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience (preferred).
  • 40 hours of accredited training in sterile compounding (preferred).
