We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, including repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivery, tailored to patients from infants to adults. The technician will also handle procurement, record keeping, storage, and distribution of controlled substances.

Responsibilities:

1. Process prescriptions and medication orders, prepare medications.
2. Ensure proper distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies.
3. Deliver doses within departmental time standards.
4. Complete daily and monthly activities, including checking for expired drugs, cleaning, and ordering supplies.
5. Check communication channels such as email and mailbox each shift.
6. Perform daily filing of medication orders and stop orders.
7. Coordinate with Materials and Logistics to maintain adequate stock.
8. Assist with implementing new formulations and updating related documentation.
9. Conduct weekly inspections of pharmacy areas for drug accountability and study drugs.

All candidates must undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• RPHT-TX - Registered Pharmacy Technician from the State Board of Pharmacy, or
• PHAR INT - Pharmacy Intern
• CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
