Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital, Inc. is seeking a pharmacy technician to support the Pharmacy Department under direct supervision in a busy retail setting in Florida. You will assist pharmacists, manage inventory, and handle drug information entry and prescription filling.

Applicants must have a Florida PT license (active), a high school diploma, and at least one year of retail pharmacy experience; PTCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting is required.
• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• PTCB Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Support Pharmacy Department with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, checking, storing shipments.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and ensure accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceuticals.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist.

Skills/Experience Required:

In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists and supports the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.

Skills/Experience Required:

• a). High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• b). One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting.
• c). Required Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License
• d). Preferred PTCB Certification.
