Larkin Community Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem) to assist pharmacists in safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services at the Florida facility.

This role supports inventory management, processes prescriptions, and uses pharmacy systems under supervision to ensure precise data entry and medication handling. The position requires a Florida-registered pharmacy technician license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ideally a PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting.
• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License
• Preferred PTCB Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter prescription and patient information accurately into pharmacy computer systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, rotating, and removing expired medications.
• Prepare medication orders and maintain accurate records as required by law and pharmacy policy.

Position Summary

The Registered Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem) assists pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists and supports the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
