Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital, Inc. is seeking a pharmacy technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision.

You will support the Pharmacy Department with inventory management, enter patient and drug information in our systems, and assist with filling prescriptions by counting and pouring medications. Requirements include a Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License and at least one year of retail pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting.
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Help with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, checking, storing shipments.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; ensure accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications.

Skills/Experience Required:

In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists and supports the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.

Skills/Experience Required:

• a). High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• b). One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting.
• c). Required Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License
• d). Preferred PTCB Certification.
