Job summary

Sunshine Communities is seeking RNs to join our night shift team at our Maumee, Ohio campus. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, with emphasis on medication administration, IV therapy, and care plan updates across shifts.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and other health professionals, document care accurately, and support the nursing team in daily workflows while upholding our mission to create community.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Ohio with active license.
• Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical and PT assessment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care and administer medications/IV therapies.
• Assess health needs and update care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Make emergency and non-emergency clinical decisions.
• Maintain medical and incident records.
• Monitor compliance with nursing, Medicaid, and agency regulations.
• Train and mentor nurses and staff.
• Maintain medications, equipment, and nursing supplies.
• Communicate across shifts and locations.

Summary: To work as a nurse at Sunshine, you must have a strong interest in providing nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that supports our mission: to create community among people with developmental disabilities, their families, friends, and staff

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care and administer medications/IV therapies.
• Assess health needs and update care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Make appropriate emergency and non-emergency clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate medical records, medication records, and incident reports.
• Monitor compliance with nursing, Medicaid, and agency regulations.
• Conduct chart audits, assessments, and required nursing tasks.
• Train, mentor, and support nurses and other staff.
• Maintain medications, equipment, and nursing supplies.
• Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care across shifts and locations.
• Assist with daily nursing workflow and troubleshooting.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete required training.
• Represent Sunshine professionally within the community and healthcare organizations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of auto insurance
• Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical & PT assessment
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• 18 years or older
